PROVENANCE: PROOF

Computation 151 -- No-signalling is bipartition-universal, hence rho-independent
================================================================================
Closes the first of the two items left open in sec:open-localisation.

THE OPEN ITEM. The emergence map rho is not unique -- that non-uniqueness IS PST's
diffeomorphism invariance -- so D_A = rho^{-1}(U_A) is fixed only relative to a
choice. The book says: "PST has not shown that naming 'the A apparatus' is a
rho-independent act."

THE RESOLUTION IS A QUANTIFIER, NOT A CALCULATION. PST never needs that naming to be
rho-independent, because the theorem it feeds is universally quantified over
bipartitions. In sec:composite-systems the tensor factorisation is stated for an
arbitrary D = D_A |_| D_B, and no-signalling follows from that factorisation, the Born
rule, completeness sum_j Q_j = 1_B, and cyclicity of the trace on B. No step mentions
rho, a metric, a region or a distance. Hence:

    for EVERY bipartition, no-signalling holds
every choice of rho induces SOME bipartition
    -----------------------------------------------------------
therefore for every choice of rho, no-signalling holds.

A different rho relabels which properties constitute "the A apparatus". It cannot
escape a theorem that has no bipartition to fail on.

WHERE THE REAL CONTENT SITS. Once the factorisation holds, the no-signalling step is
an ALGEBRAIC IDENTITY: Tr_B of a B-dephasing equals Tr_B, in any basis, for any state.
Section (3) below exhibits that identity, but it is not where the physics is. The
physics is that the factorisation holds AT ALL, for EVERY bipartition, and that is a
property of P1's Bernoulli measure being a product over D. A permutation-invariant
but non-product measure destroys it -- section (4).

WHAT IS CHECKED
  (1) EXHAUSTIVELY, over all 2^|D| - 2 non-trivial bipartitions at |D| = 10 (1022 of
      them): beta(C) = (C n D_A, C n D_B) is a bijection and mu factors exactly. Not
      a sample -- every bipartition.
  (2) The bipartitions are genuinely different: all split sizes 1..|D|-1 occur, and
the induced factor dimensions range over the full set of 2^j x 2^(10-j).
  (3) The no-signalling identity, exhibited concretely on substrate states for several
bipartitions, including a state that violates CHSH on an embedded qubit pair.
  (4) NON-PRODUCT CONTROL: under a permutation-invariant, non-product measure the
factorisation fails by O(1), so the tensor structure -- and with it the whole
argument -- is carried by P1's Bernoulli measure.

WHAT REMAINS OPEN. The second leftover item is untouched: PST derives no account of
bound composite systems, so that a laboratory device occupies a compact region at all,
and is realised by exactly the properties whose fibres lie in it, is still inherited
rather than derived. This computation says the Bell conclusion does not depend on
WHICH properties those are. It does not say why they form a device.
