PROVENANCE: PROOF

Computation 159, dust is not in this sector, and a photon is why
=================================================================
Backlog item M5. comp 158 derived the weight W(s) = -|s| and showed it forces
tracelessness, hence w = 1/3, and left dust open: "a pressureless fluid needs a mass
scale, and the pair-separation structure carries neither m_0 nor l_*". This
computation settles it, and the answer is negative in a way that is worth more than a
positive one would have been, because it says exactly where the rest mass cannot be.

WHAT IS FOUND
-------------
  (1) THE WORLDLINE SECTOR IS EXACTLY KINETIC. Real matter is made of worldlines,
      not of scattered points. Taking only the pairs that lie along one particle's
      own worldline, the projection gives

          w = beta^2 / 3

      exactly, verified to 5e-15 over nine speeds. At beta = 0 the pressure is
      0.000000: that is dust. At beta -> 1 it is 1/3. This is the textbook kinetic
      equation of state of a gas, and it comes out of the derived weight with nothing
      added.

  (2) A PHOTON CONTRIBUTES NOTHING FROM ITS OWN WORLDLINE, and this is the reason
      radiation is 1/3. A massless particle's worldline is NULL, so the invariant
      along it is s = 0 exactly, and the derived weight W(s) = -|s| vanishes
      identically on it. Measured: the summed |W| over all intra-worldline pairs of
      null worldlines is 7e-12 against 288 for the same configuration at beta = 0,
      fourteen orders down and consistent with round-off in s = Delta.Delta. So
      w = 1/3 for radiation is not a statistical limit. It is forced by the weight
      being zero on null separations, which is the same tau_null that fixes the
      signature and defines the light cone.

  (3) THE MIXTURE LAW. With f the worldline share of the energy density,
      w = [1 - f(1 - beta^2)] / 3, verified to 2e-3.  Dust needs BOTH f -> 1 and
      beta -> 0.

  (4) f DOES NOT GO TO ONE, AND THE REASON IS STRUCTURAL. The restriction
      |s| <= d_0^2 is a NEIGHBOURHOOD OF THE LIGHT CONE, not a compact region.
      Measured in a box of half-width 40 with 1400 points: of the pairs that survive
      it, every one has spatial separation far above the correlation length. So the near-null
      background never dilutes away: sweeping the density over fifty times the
      correlation length leaves f at 0.01 to 0.05 throughout.

  (5) THE BOND KERNEL CANNOT RESCUE IT, and that closes the question rather than
      deferring it.  eq:Pimunu carries B(x; rho(a), rho(b)), which comp 158 dropped.
      B is NORMALISED, int B d^4x = 1, so the volume-averaged density is identically
      the integrated sum over the volume, whatever B is. For homogeneous matter it
      therefore cannot change w at all; it only decides WHERE the stress sits.
      Measured: volume-averaged local density w = 0.33329 against integrated
      w = 0.33337.

WHAT THAT MEANS
---------------
The pair-tension projection is STRICTLY CONFORMAL for homogeneous matter. Dust is
not a configuration of it that has yet to be found; it is excluded, by the trace
identity of comp 158 together with (4) and (5) here.

So the rest mass of ordinary matter does not enter through pair separations at all,
and M5 as posed had the wrong target. PST does have mass elsewhere: the elementary
mass m_0 = 8 pi^3 r_0^2 d_0 / (3c^2) from the angular-momentum projection, and the
whole Higgs sector. Where the mass scale enters the STRESS TENSOR is the question
that survives, and it is a question about the matter action rather than about the
pair geometry.

A "pass": (1) |w - beta^2/3| below 1e-13 at every speed; (2) the null-worldline
weight at least ten orders below the massive one; (3) the mixture law within 5e-3;
(4) every surviving pair spatially separated by more than the correlation length;
(5) averaged and integrated w agreeing to 1e-3.
